The summer carnival continues at Ascot this weekend with the running of the Group 2 C.B.Cox Stakes. And if you think I’m that I’m going to tip the mare Delicacy again you’re spot on! She ran another bottler in the Kingston Town Classic to go down narrowly to unbeaten mare Perfect Reflection. The prospect of a dry track and the extra 300 meters are all in her favour. Real Love is on her way to winning back to back Perth Cups and she’s another suited by the better ground here over the 2100m.
And the old marvel, the 9yo Extra Zero has always shown disdain for wet ground yet he too ran on well from the rear in the Kingston Town Classic. I’m not sure he can beat the mare but he’s a terrific old horse who doesn’t know how to run a bad race.
