Steward's Comments: Cast its off fore plate in the mounting enclosure which required re-fitting and after completing its preliminary underwent a pre-race veterinary examination on arrival behind the barriers and was passed fit to start. Became unsettled in its barrier just prior to the start being effected and then reared on jumping and was bumped and crowded shortly after the start. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with a mildly elevated heart rate.
