Got going late when the bird had flown but run was encouraging 2.7L at TAB Park Werribee Bm70 over 1010m Heavy 9. Lobbed midfield and couldn't improve from there to settle on sixth 5.3L at Flemington Bm78 over 1000m. Down in grade here so don't dismiss.

Steward's Comments: Prior to the start being affected, turned its head to the side and as a result was slow to begin. Tactics queried. RR after being slow to begin his mount settled further back than intended and that he had been instructed the gelding has a short sprint and for this reason, he did not place it under real pressure under straightening near the 300m. Trainer confirmed instructions, but added he didnt anticipate being as far back in the field when issuing them. Whilst accepting the explanation, Stewards notified .

A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Stable representative for trainer T.
