A post race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding was slow to recover. Trainer will monitor its recovery and advise of any adverse findings in the coming days. Steward's Comments: Bumped over the concluding stages. Rider advised the mare commenced to compound over the concluding stages and felt uncomfortable in its action therefore he elected not to ride it out over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer advised a subsequent endoscopic examination revealed no abnormalities and will continue to monitor the mare's recovery and added that the mare may not appreciate racing between other runners.

Steward's Comments: Rider reported that the gelding passing the 800m mis-strode and again shortly after, for these reasons rider restrained the gelding from the race passing the 600m. Trainer advised that the gelding had been working well leading into the race and after reviewing the patrol films agreed with the rider's comments that the gelding had mis-strode on two occasions. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer will have it undergo further veterinary tests prior to spelling. Trainer advised.
