Rider advised that following this incident he was of the opinion his mount felt uncomfortable in its action and consequently did not pressure it over the final stages of the race. Steward's Comments: Despite the urgings of its rider, the gelding failed to respond and compounded in the straight. Trainer was advised that the gelding would have to trial prior to racing again and that the gelding would be restricted away from the metro area until an improvement in form is shown. Trainer later advised the gelding had blood samples taken which revealed its electrolyte levels to be low.
