Pressed on to the lead however was under enormous pressure to hold spot 5.4L at Bunbury Mdn over 1675m. Never likely to threaten after positioning midfield in transit 15.1L at Bunbury Mdn over 1690m.

Ran on well and looked a winning chance but was edged out into third spot 1.2L at Kalgoorlie Mdn over 1600m. Weakened out of the race after doing a lot of chasing 21.3L at Kalgoorlie Cl2 over 1760m.
