Steward's Comments: Co-Trainer expressed disappointment in the performance and will now consider racing the gelding in blinkers at its next start. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-Trainer further advised that blood specimens will be taken over the ensuing days and that he will advise of any irregularities. Trainer later advised the blood specimens returned in normal parameters.

Steward's Comments: Over-raced through the early stages with the saddle shifting forward near the 700m placing rider at a disadvantage with her removing her feet from the stirrups for safety reasons and thereafter took no competitive part in the event. The rider's gear was inspected after the race and found to be in good order. Trainer advised he would experiment with a gear change in an attempt to have the gelding race more tractably in future.
