Races MR Sandown - HILLSIDE

A long way back with 400m to go and did pass a few late into sixth 3.3L at Apiam Bendigo Bm78 over 2400m. Sat behind the leaders and battled the race out nicely for fourth 5L at Flemington Bm84 Hcp over 2500m. Better suited at this level.

Hardly sighted after a slow start and top effort to grab fifth 4.3L Adl Cup Group 2 over 3200m. One-paced to the line and always well back 7.3L at Apiam Bendigo Bm78 over 2400m. Much easier task than recent assignments and right in this.

Driven to the lead but was run down late when second 0.4L at Wangaratta Bm64 over 2000m. Won after sitting on the pace and getting the advantage late 0.8L at Bairnsdale Bm64 over 2200m.

Raced midfield, terrific run when clear at 300m 3.4L at Flemington Grand Hcp Class over 2000m. Trailed just off the pace and looked to have few excuses 7.2L at Apiam Bendigo Bm78 over 2400m. Nice drop in grade but might be too far for him.

Led and kicked strongly in the lane for the victory 0.2L at Bairnsdale Bm58 over 2200m. Held off rivals for a soft win 1.8L at Moe Bm58 over 2447m Soft 7. Up in grade but might go to the lead and be tough to get past.

Well back, got going turn closed strongly too late 1.6L at Caulfield Bm70 over 2000m Soft 5. Hit the line hard for second despite finding one better on the day 1.8L at Geelong Bm64 over 2218m Soft 5. IN form and at the right level.

Settled with the leading bunch and gave all to finish just outside the placings 2.7L at Ballarat Bm64 over 2000m. Led, fought on strongly but was nailed on the line into second 0.1L at Cranbourne Bm64 over 2520m Soft 5.

Had the right trail into the race and powered home strongly for a great win 1.5L at Cranbourne Bm58 over 2025m Soft 6. Raced up on the pace but capitulated when the pressure was on 6.7L at Cranbourne Bm70 over 2025m.

Midfield with the leaders in sight however had little to show in the finish 6.5L at Avoca 0 - 58 over 1860m Soft 6. Won by the barest of margins after sitting off the pace 0.3L at Horsham 0 - 58 over 2100m.

Raced midfield but couldn't bridge the gap when fourth 3L at Benalla Bm58 over 2100m. Settled just off the pace and hit the line nicely for second 1.8L at Moe Bm58 over 2447m Soft 7.

Ran on well into third from sitting midfield 1.4L at Ballarat Bm64 over 2000m Soft 6. Got a long way back in transit and showed best work late when fourth 4.4L at Cranbourne Bm58 over 2025m Soft 6.

Settled on the pace and had chance to win but settled for second 0.1L at Sandown Lakeside Bm64 over 2400m. Narrowly beaten for third after going forward in transit 0.4L at Cranbourne Bm64 over 2520m. Wide gate no help but can be running on.

Run off legs early but did beat a few home late for fifth 4.3L at Sportsbet Sandown Lakeside Bm64 over 2100m. Got back and battled to improve positions when sixth 6.2L at Ballarat Bm64 over 2000m.

Had the run of race behind the leaders and just missed for second 0.2L at Cranbourne Bm64 over 2600m Soft 5. Out-gunned over the final stages after getting back midfield in-running 0.7L at Cranbourne Bm64 over 2520m Soft 5.

Never headed once found the lead and shot clear for a dominant win 4.8L at Swan Hill Mdn-Sw over 2400m. Positioned behind the pace and couldn't improve position fifth 1.4L at Cranbourne Bm64 over 2520m Soft 5.

Handed up lead, fought hard in straight to win 0.1L at Sandown Lakeside Bm70 over 2100m. Pushed along from midfield to make ground for fifth but found others too good 6.5L at Flemington Bm84 Hcp over 2500m Soft 5. Dropping sharply in grade.

Weakened out of the race after doing a lot of chasing 5.4L at Apiam Bendigo Bm78 over 2400m. No pace to get back worse than midfield and never came into the race fifth 5L at Moe Bm58 over 2447m Soft 7.

Ran on ok late but gave leaders a big head start 6.5L at Pakenham Bm64 over 1600m. Came from midfield to run on nicely into third 1L at Moe Bm58 over 2088m Soft 7.
