Notched his first win in a year when pulling off a 39-1 shock to land his fourth C&D success five weeks ago; now 6lb higher and needs to prove that was no flash in the pan.,

Current losing sequence stretches back 23 starts and over two years; he is now 23lb lower than his best winning mark and has made the top four places in each of his last three; each-way candidate.,

His best run from five career starts was when pressing for the lead before finishing 0.75l second (6f, Sha Tin) two starts ago; poor draw last time but much better positioned now so could go well.,

Ended last season with a C&D win off 4lb lower mark; modest tenth on all three starts for new trainer this term; others preferred.,

Dual C&D scorer last May; has not run badly without getting in the top three in five starts this term; back down to a fair weight here and could improve after seven weeks off (won a recent trial).,

Dual Sha Tin 6f dirt winner, including off a 3lb higher mark, but his recent form has been on a downward trajectory and this switch to turf is unlikely to help.,

Now 11 months since he won off a 1lb lower mark over this C&D; strung together three solid efforts to start this campaign before a lesser run last time; wide draw tempers enthusiasm.,

Off since September; has shown promise in three recent trial races but has yet to make the top two in eight lifetime starts; may be revitalised by the break and Karis Teetan replaces a claimer in his saddle.,

Just one placed run in eight starts since scoring off a 2lb higher mark over this C&D in May; all his best effort have come from the front, so wide draw is a grave concern.,
