Steward's Comments: When qst, rdr std mnt settled back in field similar to last start. Std near the 600m he commenced to apply pressure to mnt to make up ground, but there was little response. Added mnt did not respond to hard riding, raced flat & in his view did not back up from its win the week prior. Tnr rep advised the gelding had pleased the stable since its win on 23/3/24, which prompted their decision to run today, however it was apparent it had not backed up. A post-race vet exam revealed no abs. Tnr rep since advised .

Steward's Comments: When questioned re form improvement displayed as compared to its two most recent starts, tnr rep stated the gelding had previously performed well earlier in its current preparation, however had disappointed at its two most recent starts although it had continued to work satisfactorily. He added since last start, the gelding had been freshened and had its training varied, and in his view, this was the primary reason for the improved performance.
